In 1966, my father, Sardar Inder Singh Sehgal, embarked on a culinary journey that began with a humble Rajma Chawal cart. Roaming the streets of Dehradun, he tirelessly served delicious, home-cooked meals to support our family. After years of perseverance, he secured a permanent spot on Court Road, Dehradun, laying the foundation for our future success.

The secret to our signature Rajma & Rice lies in my father’s meticulous selection of Sabut Garam Masala from various regions. He personally roasted and hand-pounded these spices, infusing our home and neighborhood with an irresistible aroma. Growing up surrounded by this rich tradition, our family’s passion for quality food only deepened.

Inspired to expand his legacy, my father envisioned a new venture for his elder son, Sd. Kawaljeet Singh. In 1999, this vision materialized into USS DA DHABA, located on the same Court Road. Our mission was clear: to offer the people of Dehradun and its visitors exceptional, quality food.

Today, USS DA DHABA stands as a testament to our commitment. We proudly hold numerous accolades, reflecting the satisfaction and loyalty of our ever-growing customer base. Our story begins in the North ---

My Father Sardar Inder Singh Sehgal started our Family business in 1966 with a small business of Rajma Chawal in a moving Cart(Theli), he used to roam from one place to another to run his household. After so many years of struggle he found a permanent location(Thikana) at Court Road, Dehradun.

For the prepration of Rajma & Rice he used to go many places & select many varieties of Sabut Garam Masala, then he used to roast all the sabut masala’s and then he pounded masala’s with his own hand and that aroma of masala was all over in our house surroundings and we grew up smelling the aroma of masala. The focus of opening a new restaurant came up in my father’s mind for his elder son Sd. Kawaljeet Singh at the same Court Road and his continuous efforts today helped us to start a new beginning in 1999. We open USS DA DHABA with an aim to provide the people of Dehradun and the visitors of the city with quality food. Today after so many years we feel proud to have been awarded with a number of titles on our names. We are extremely happy to receive continuous feedback about our services and it’s great to have been serving a huge number of people with the utmost satisfaction and sincerity. Our achievements and rewards help us realize the efforts and happiness we have delivered in the journey so far and we aim to continue the same for the years to come.
